Kafkaesque Trial: Guilt Without a Crime. Here, Borgli masterfully weaves in Kafkaesque motifs. Emma falls into the trap of an "imperfect crime": she didn't fire the shot, but the very intention becomes a stigma for those around her. This is pure Franz Kafka—a trial of thought, where the absurdity of the accusation (you could have done it) makes the defense impossible.
Buddhist philosophy teaches that karma (action) begins with intention. From this perspective, Emma truly bears the weight of her past thoughts (vasanas). However, the film poses a cruel question: if a person has changed, become "new," why does old karma continue to poison the present? Charlie's conflict is a conflict with Anatman (the absence of a permanent self). He is horrified because he realizes that the Emma he loves is only a temporary mask, and beneath it lies an abyss capable of violence. His own sin (cheating with a colleague) equates them in a samsaric cycle of error, proving that no one is free from the defilements of the mind, making protection impossible.
The film's ending is the pinnacle of absurdity and a bitter irony on the idea of enlightenment. The meeting in the diner, where the characters pretend to see each other for the first time, is a voluntary return to Maya. They haven't achieved Nirvana (liberation from suffering), they've simply decided to restart the cycle of illusion. Their smiles through tears are an admission of defeat in the face of reality. Instead of accepting each other's true, terrifying nature, they choose lies as their only salvation. It's a Kafkaesque ending, where the characters remain locked in the cage of their roles, condemned to endlessly play out "The Drama." Verdict: "The Drama" is a merciless mirror, revealing that our "personality" is nothing more than a collection of convenient stories, and when one collapses, we're willing to build a new prison rather than stare into the void.

>>12Хороший фильм, с глубоким посылом, но увы это китайская пропаганда.
